AINT FOUNDATION CIC
Pledge/commitment
Our organisation operates across the United Kingdom with a clear, unwavering commitment to improving wellbeing, strengthening communities, and reducing barriers to support. Through our award‑winning practice and the AINT Model, we provide trauma‑informed, accessible, and evidence‑based support that empowers individuals, families, and communities to build resilience and create lasting positive change. Our work is grounded in the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to feel safe, supported, and able to thrive, regardless of their background, circumstances, or the challenges they face. We recognise that wellbeing is shaped not only by personal experiences but also by the systems, services, and environments that surround people. For this reason, our approach focuses on both direct support and wider systems change, ensuring that the impact of our work is sustainable, scalable, and meaningful at every level.
The AINT Model, developed through extensive research, practice, and lived experience insight, provides a structured, compassionate, and highly effective framework for understanding and responding to trauma. It enables individuals and services to recognise the patterns, pressures, and protective factors that influence wellbeing, and it offers practical pathways for healing, growth, and resilience. Our model is used by practitioners, organisations, and communities across the UK, and it continues to shape national conversations about trauma‑informed practice, accessibility, and the future of community wellbeing. By embedding the AINT Model into our work, we ensure that every interaction, intervention, and partnership is grounded in safety, empowerment, and respect.
Our organisation works directly with individuals and families who are experiencing emotional distress, trauma, or barriers to support. We provide accessible, trauma‑informed therapeutic services that meet people where they are, offering a safe space for healing, reflection, and growth. Our approach is relational, person‑centred, and rooted in compassion. We understand that people’s experiences are complex and that healing requires more than a single intervention. For this reason, we focus on building long‑term resilience, strengthening protective factors, and supporting individuals to develop the tools and confidence they need to navigate challenges and move forward with hope.
Alongside our direct work with individuals, we partner with communities, frontline services, and local systems to strengthen their capacity to support the people they serve. We recognise that many services are under pressure, facing increasing demand, limited resources, and complex community needs. Our organisation provides training, consultation, and trauma‑informed development that helps services respond more effectively, compassionately, and sustainably. By equipping frontline workers with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need, we contribute to stronger, safer, and more resilient local systems. This systems‑level impact is a core part of our mission, ensuring that our work benefits not only those we support directly but also the wider communities and services that surround them.
Our commitment to accessibility is central to everything we do. We work to reduce barriers to support by offering flexible, remote‑first services that reach people wherever they are. This approach is particularly important for individuals who may struggle to access traditional services due to geography, mobility, stigma, or personal circumstances. By providing accessible, trauma‑informed support, we ensure that more people can receive the help they need at the time they need it. Our remote‑first model also allows us to support communities across the UK, including those in rural, underserved, or high‑need areas.
We also invest in the next generation of trauma‑informed practitioners through our award‑winning trainee counsellor placements. These placements provide high‑quality, supportive, and ethically grounded training opportunities for Level 4+ trainees who want to develop their skills in trauma‑informed practice. Our placements are designed to be accessible, flexible, and deeply supportive, ensuring that trainees receive the guidance, supervision, and experience they need to become confident, competent, and compassionate practitioners. By training future counsellors, we contribute to the long‑term sustainability of the mental health workforce and help ensure that trauma‑informed practice continues to grow across the UK.
Our organisation is committed to collaboration and partnership. We work closely with local authorities, community groups, health services, educational institutions, and national organisations to create joined‑up, community‑centred approaches to wellbeing. We believe that meaningful change happens when people and services work together, share knowledge, and build collective capacity. Through our partnerships, we help create environments where individuals feel supported, communities feel connected, and services feel equipped to respond to the needs of the people they serve.
We also focus on reducing stigma, increasing awareness, and promoting trauma‑informed understanding through public engagement, training, and community education. We believe that when people understand trauma and its impact, they are better able to support themselves and others. Our educational work empowers communities to recognise signs of distress, respond with compassion, and create safer, more supportive environments for everyone.
Our impact is measured not only by the number of people we support but also by the depth and sustainability of the change we help create. We see individuals rebuilding their confidence, families strengthening their relationships, communities becoming more resilient, and services becoming more responsive and trauma‑informed. These outcomes reflect our commitment to long‑term, meaningful change and our belief that every person and community has the potential to thrive when given the right support.
As we continue to grow, we remain dedicated to expanding access to trauma‑informed support, strengthening local services, and contributing to national systems change. Our work is driven by compassion, guided by evidence, and shaped by the voices of the people and communities we serve. We are proud to play a role in building a more resilient, supportive, and trauma‑informed United Kingdom.
